'71 Deluxe Microbus SOLD!

Chianti Red under pastel white '71 walk thro Deluxe with a strong 1500 sp motor no end float. (out of a '65 bus)
Needing new cab floors (work in progress)
Cargo floor repairs
Front lower screen will need replacing as is rusted through
Needs new windscreen
Brakes need refurb
Missing original rear bumper and dent to the rear o/s corner
Headliner there but a few rips
All 7 seats are there
Solid underneath
Solid sills
Solid front valance
Solid wheel arches
Minimal welding for MOT. I just don't have time to do it anymore.
Overall a solid winter project.
Really nice patina!

Hello Norm, here's a few pkoto's for you. The Bus is under a cover in Crowland , Lincs.
I started the job and have cut the drivers cab floor out and treated the solid chassis with a rust inhibitor and a few coats of zinc paint. Give me a call on 07968 428989 if you like?

Norm, I updated the thread last night so it should be near the top of 'active topics'. I will take it to the top again now.

On the floor front, it is pretty solid apart from the section at the bulkhead and portions near to the rear arches. I have the correct profile floor repair panel and I will be repairing as and when I can, up until I sell the old gal.
I will post some more pics tomorrow. Can't do any more now as I'm at work.

Underneath of the battery tray shows damage to the bottom of the rear corner too.

Hole where the seat belt mounts should be!

3 Zinc coats on the front chassis leg top

Damage to the rear corners

Found some rust in the front valance near the A post

Small hole in the inner arch

Rear of cargo floor shows some rust, but not too bad IMO

Front of cargo floor shows reasonably sound seat mountings and rust thro at the front section

Seatbelt mounts need replacing

The outriggers and jack points are all solid.
Will post pics of those tomorrow. Going to bed now
