Absolutely AWESOME!!!!

Such a great colour and that finish looks fantastic! You must be chuffed... I would be!

Can't wait to get mine done and see it just like that.

Keep us updated!

TinTop - wicked 8)
What paint was used (2pak, water based etc?)

cheers

2 pak.

Might have to have the side panels done again, to get a flatter finish.

Just got some new tyres (215/40/17) Yokohamas - Nice.
When changing tyres the rims will be sprayed - Silver.

Have a set of Angel eyes headlights, smoked back lights.

Sending locks off to Custom & Commercials to have all barrels rebuilt for one key.

Nearly finished now, waiting for seals to arrive.

Hoping to get MOT'd and be back on the road by the 18th, trying to be roadworthy for Wales.

Probably won't have the interior done but at least i'll be back on the road.

Didn't get locks back in time and needed new bumper ends, seals and step rubbers.

Oh an the elusive filler cap rubber stops!

Damn that's a straight bus, much credit to you, it looks amazing :D

Keep up the great work 8)

Hi Tintop,

Any update on the progress?

Still amazed by how straight your bus looks everytime I look back over the photos... top job!

Start the work on mine this weekend, so more pictures of yours would be great for that extra boost of inspiration!

Cheers

Thank you for your kind words, cheers.

If you need any advise or want to know where to get bits from (or not to get bits from) give me a shout.

Very nearly there.

New custom lights in front and rear, windows in.

Will post a few more pics soon, need to go over to garage.

Need to sort bumpers out.

What do you think about the wheels? The ones i currently have on are 17'' and i have not seen any on a bay like them.

Do you think i should invest some time to get them looking good and buy new tyres?

OR

Do you think i should buy an off the shelf package rims and tyres?

If you have any pictures of yours i would appreciate it.

Hi Tintop,

Good luck with the MOT!

Do you have any pics of it all up and together now... must look great in all that fresh Neptune!

Also, wanted to take you up on your offer of advice for where to get bits and where not to.... I'm just replacing my O/S sills at the moment and have some Schofield replacements but must say that the fit is not great, especially the inner one. Did you replace your sills and if so which repair panels did you use, also any advise for fitting them...... or making them fit?

Cheers

Nearly there, a few minor set backs.

The indicator switch has broken, have managed to get hold of one (thanks Den).

Bus nearly fully back together.

Took a few pictures today (well tried camera battery went flat) so only go two of the outside.

Enjoy:

MOT next week - need the following first:

New Tyres
New Rear bumper
Fit indicator switch.

As for panels i used Alan Schofield panels/bits. The one's i got fit rather well, give them a ring and see if there is a different type they stock?

I initially tried German & Swedish (GSF) and found the Alan Schofield panels to be much better.

Quite a few people have told me to use VW heritage and i know Custom & Commercial have some genuine bits.

I had the sills replaced on both sides, inners, outer the lot.
The garage, in Huddersfield, did all the work for me.
So can't full answer your question, sorry.
