Vintage Skotch Jug (one gallon) 1950’s Thermos/insulated container for sale – £25
This is a vintage Hamilton Skotch Corporation One Gallon thermos. This retro glass lined insulated thermos bottle was made by the Hamilton Skotch Corporation in Hamilton, Ohio in the USA. This vintage one gallon capacity Skotch Jug has decorative red/yellow/black plaid design all the way around the jug. The outside of the jug is metal along with the carry handle), the screw on part of the lid is plastic and inside has a glass liner.
Size: Ø 200mm (8") x 300mm high (12")
There is some surface rust on the top and a few marks/dents around the outside as you would come to expect for something that has ben used from this era.
I used this is a ‘display’ piece rather than a practical item with my vintage Volkswagen split screen camper and vintage Volkswagen beetle, and its aged look of authenticity (for me) worked really well.

The outside of the jug is metal along with the carry handle), the screw on part of the lid is plastic and inside has a glass liner.

There is some surface rust on the top and a few marks around the outside as you would come to expect for something that has ben used from this era. The underside of the jug the rust begun to ‘flake’ the metal layers
