Hi,
We have a 72 crossover and the seats are (I assume) old style? box type seats that have wood tops that lift off to then use the inside for storage with seat cushions on top. The bed is made using the back seat and two buddy seats with some pieces of wood between. There is also a sink unit down one side that we never use.

I am looking for some advice. We need to change this set-up so that we have a seat that will safely and legally accommodate a car seat for an infant. Any ideas or suggestions on what might be best to do or a good place to go. we live in Scotland, but could travel it down to somewhere.

Any ideas really appreciated if anyone's been in same situation. I know it's a shame to change the old style interior as it definitely has it's charms, but needs must.

Thanks
:)

Sounds like a Danbury interior????
A bit flimsy aren't they!!??
We had one a few years back, before we had the bairn like!!
Our most recent bus however had a Westfalia interior, we used the original vw lap belt to secure the bairns car seat, there'll be pics on the thread below!

Hi,
Yes it is a Danbury! Yes we love it but I don't think because of the moveable wood top to the seats that they would be suitable even with a belt?

Wow you have definitely done some amazing work...though a heads up that you sold the van would have been good, what a shock!
I saw how you fit the seatbelts but I'm still not sure what sort of seat it is that you have in...also how would the bed work?
Sorry I'm a complete novice (both camper and child!) and know I will need to get someone to do the work but want to know what I'm talking about and what to ask for!

Thank you for responding :)

Seat belt anchorage points are in all buses!!
Unless they've rotted away!!!!!
Rear seat in my Sierra yellow bus was a standard Westfalia one with standard vw/Westfalia seatbelts .
These sale of mentioned bus was a shock to me too!!!!
But money was needed!!!
Hopefully I'll be able to afford to keep my crewcab once it's done!!!!???
