Just fitted new alternator. Torqued bolt on fan correctly. Alternator strap is on and tight. Fitted my old pulley and its scrapping the front of the alternator. I don't know for sure but I'm sure it is an original pulley. Anyone else come across this? Cheers all
Point to add the fan and alternator turn freely and nothing else is rubbing
Bit of research shows that my pulley has come apart. So the centre piece that goes over the woodruff key has separated from the pulley. Hence the pulley is wobbling on the alternator shaft and cutting into the alternator.
