i currently have a dynamo fitted to my '71 and have been advised to upgrade to a 85A alternator. can anyone else echo this or will i be wasting my money & time? i intend to run a big stereo, amp, tv and heated screen.

is there such a thing as a 85A alternator? i can only find 75A items. any help would be great appreciated as this is all very new to me.

cheers

Yes, you'd be better off with an altenator if running all that stuff and I've only every seen 75A max for aircooled veedubs, which should be enough for what you need.

Do it, 1 of the best things i've fitted, allows a thumping sound system too ;)
