The front end of my van is currently lowered using T.haus dropped spindles with Gaz coilovers, and the tyres are 175/55/15. I'm tempted to try 185/65/15 instead as I don't like the excessive air between the tyre and arch but I don't want to lower it any more to close that gap. Do you reckon they will do the job or will they rub? Cheers.

Who knows, they're all different. I suggest buying part worns and trying it, If it's ok, either wait till the port worns are proper worn and replace, or buy some nice shiney new ones and flog the part worns on. You may be lucky and have a friendly tyre fitter that will let you try part worns and then supply new, i've done that in the past.

Go to willtheyfit.com and it will show the difference in tire size.

Regards.

Not sure why you have 'excessive air' with that combination as thats what I used to run and would bottom out on 175/55/15 so 185/65/15's will rub as thats close to stock tyre size, have you adjusted the ride height on the coilovers?

Hi Graham, apologies for the late response. It has coilovers fitted so maybe I've raised the height a bit too much. I'll wind the springs down a touch and see what happens. I must say, it did rub on the wheel arches using the original gr2 shocks so maybe I'm being a bit too hasty in thinking about changing the tyres.
