Before you tackle the "drain" plug - have you released the "fill" one?

Dont want a gearbox drained with no way of filling it back up!

When I did mine we used a combination of heat, shocked it with a hammer and lots of pry bar action!

Good luck mate

You could also position a trolley jack under the pry bar and use the hydraulic power to force the plug out?
All good assuming you have the correct tool to undo it!

Get your self a Proper 17mm 1/2" socket and a LONG 1/2" breaker bar......

Your local motor spares shop should be able to help :)

as for the seal......

Get a good self-tapping screw and screw it into the face of the seal.....
Then grab it with a pair of pliars/mole grips and give it a good tug and the seal should start to move....

Got a breakerbar, will be purchasing the proper tool (Socket) now.
thanks for tip on seal.

:)

As per monkiboy on the seal, but I put two screws in at 3 o'clock and 9 0'clock and used two pairs of mole grips to wiggle it out
