On my RHD it does.
I keep meaning to redo my handbrake so that it doesn't need as many clicks to give me a bit more room.
I've just got used to driving it :msn4:

I've only heard good things about the GB Shifter - I have a RHD - Is it worth that little pain?

being a dummy......no change there you might say.. what is the idea/point in this type of shift and or the ones with the offset top end.

I've been waiting for another GB thread to come along to give my opinion.

It seems everyone around here has nothing but great things to say about the Berg shifter, in fact I've never heard a bad one and as a result I forked out the cash to replace a perfectly good working stock one.

All the gears are adjusted great and I have no issues finding any. They do take a bit of getting use to as the gears are much closer together. However I'm still not pleased with it a year down the road.

The first issue is you can't quite tell when it's in nuetral when you go to start it on the driveway. I'm always reaching in the door and kicking it over with the auto clutch to warm up before I take off so the nuetral thing is one small issue. Another problem is when you're rolling back in reverse and you put the clutch in to brake, I can't get mine straight in to 1st. I need to go to nuetral, release the clutch and then clutch in and into 1st. Not exactly a smooth operation.

In general I'm not pleased with the overall feel. I'm probably the only one here who prefers the longer changes on the stock shifter. Suited the bus better IMO. Just my 2 pence worth. Could you spend the cash elsewhere?

I'll concede that seeing whether it is in neutral isn't as easy, but it's something that I just got the feel of after a short while.
On occasion I do have to just double check - but I did the same on my old bus on a stock shifter ;) This is mostly when I'm buggering about with my engine on the driveway (all too often at present  )

I always leave my bus (and cars) in first gear when parked up, so it's less of an issue for me.

I don't think I have experienced the same issue with going from reverse to 1st.
I did have a similar issue in the past, but that turned out to be a problem with the clutch cable (I forget whether it was too lose or two tight) and a little adjustment sorted it!

Personally, I love the shifter. It's a shame you've not got along with it!
If it's a RHD shifter and you want to get rid, drop me a PM (a friend of mine has been wanting one for some time) ;)

The shifter is RHD George but I think I might give it one more season and see how I get on. I'll definitely keep you in mind buddy.

The deed has been done!

Picked one up yesterday at Volks World - will fit it while munching on chocolate eggs next weekend.

Anybody got any tips for installing as there was no instructions in the box from Lime Green..
