My van has a Paris sliding sunroof which has aliminium rails that the crossbars slide up and down in. Should there be any other reinforcement or frame to strengthen the sides of the original metal ? Looks like the original middle roof support was cut out with an angle grinder Also unsure how to trim the area between bottom of roof slide rails and tops of windows? Any pics of how yours have been fitted would be great

I wouldn’t want to wager vast sums of money on it, but I’m guessing that most
Paris sunroofs are in fact replacements for redundant or dilapidated pop tops over the course of time. And as Wiggy says^^^ a lot of conversion companies used that fantastic technique of a can opener and it’ll be all right once the sparks have died down  Apart from Mr Westy who used sun roof models which were already opened and reinforced elsewhere

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, I got a Devon roof, someone tied a four inch grinder to a squirrels tail doin it
