So I've had 2 late bays, then no air cooled VW for around 10 years, during which time I got my head down and worked hard to get a career sorted, now I've been able to buy exactly what I always wanted, early bay Dormobile with round bumpers and half moon rear vents lowered on Empi wide 5's. So all going to plan, apart from the fact that I bought him in the winter and still haven't been away camping yet. So, don't know about you guys but I'm stoked to see the sun out and the forecast starting to improve. Anyone been camping yet?

Hi there, I've not been camping yet this year, but it won't be long now :D
Let's hope we have a decent summer so I can make the most of my bus.
Cheers Paul.

Just like everyone else, I'm chuffed to bits. By the appearance of that big yellow shiny thing in the sky. I'm working at Reading train station so had loads of *** breaks yesterday just to get the feel of it on my UV deprived skin. It's coming folks so just hang on and anytime now we'll be out there doin it without jumpers on. I am just soooooooo ready .

Ozziedog ,,,,,,,,, incoming!!!!!! Heatwave please..

YES hope it lasts for drag racing
NO had to do bloody gardening yesterday and can hardly move today

dave -------------creaking of down my unit to rebuild race beep engine.

Nice work fellas!

Randomly spent the day with a weather man who has been with the BBC for 20 years yesterday, I asked him what his best guess was and he reckons that this spring is just going to run into summer, no more crappy wind and rain!

I've got my van ( the ninky nonk ) up to an expectable standard now she's machanicaly and electrically sound with a really nice cosy interior I'm putting the rest of the resto on hold and getting ready for a long summer where I'm going to Cain the ass out of it rather than just chucking time money and loads of effort at it when we are not down the coast bobbing around the sea sat on my board like a lost turd I'm going to find a nice forestry area and chill out there instead just can't wait

Here are a few more photos from Wed/Thur.
I was travelling with my mate and his crossover and did edinburgh to Skye in a day, just cruising and taking in the scenery. Next time we will wild camp so we can take in some of the views at dawn.
Most of these photos are in the mainland, just the last two (wet) ones are Skye. Well worth a drive up, loads to see and cracking places to stay. Maybe organise a convoy sometime :)

two great sunny weekends and the covers not been of the bus. paintin and sorting daughters room first weekend and chopin wood and family around this weekend, geting bus driving withdrawall lol,

It will have to be in a couple of years, as we are curently living in Australia! But it is definitely on the list. We were living in Cardiff when we were in UK so a pretty long drive - hence why its not been crossed off. However, time will tell in terms of where we will end up when we move back to the UK.

Definitely somewhere we both my fiancee and I want to explore - and seeing these pics re-emphasise why!
