I've just received a set of bbt sprintstars and the painted finish and cut lines between black and silver are very poor . I had heard and read threads from owners saying as much but hoped they would be better now . Does anyone sell them where the detailing is done after by themselves rather than the bbt factory finish?
I'm going to get these collected and try another set but otherwise I might have to finish them myself :(

Yes they are crap and BBT know they are they just won't sort it.
Your best bet is to get them done yourself.
Don't bother with the chrome ones either they rust in one summers use !!!!

I thought they came from BBT in a raw form and the suppliers sprayed them?
Mine were great..... but I never got them on the bus so don't know wot they are like now?????

Paul.

Mine came through T2D, they had them powder coated and detailed for me from the off.

They come finished ,they don't sell chrome ones anymore due to reason mentioned .T2d don't stock them any more and I spoke with Paul today who said I'd be better off doing it myself as they charge quite abit more than the £380 they cost .So I think I'll wait till I have the two out of the 4 replaced due to a flat edge on one outer lip and more than poor paint on one other .oh and all the emblems are lifting off the centre caps .
So in short I'm going to use them for a while then get them powder coated black and then dusted with silver paint which according to t2d is how they did them unless anyone knows someone who does a nice paint job and sells them at a reasonable price .

What is the best rear offset for the tears as I ordered 5.5 with a et 25 offset but I have heard some use et15 for more of a deep dish but I didn't want it sticking out to far and causing problems with the arch?
Or am I best sticking with 25 offset ?

I think the 15 and 10 ET is what the split guys use, from memory my painted set were 4.5front 34et and 5.5 25et but they didn't ever make it onto the bus.
I suspect the best way to detail them would be to get one of the colours painted (the greater area) and then mask them up and using a modellers style air brush paint the other colour on and clear coat the lot.

Look into the rear Et because the 15 and 10 would look great.

Yeh I will as I've cancelled the current order and they are collecting them so will start again on the rears
