Hi ,
I'm looking for some local knowledge.
I'm going on my holibobs to South of France Aug 12-Sept 9th doing the Roscoff to Plymouth crossing and looking to book a hotel on the return end as ferry arrives at 930pm and I don't fancy hitting a straight 8+hr drive back to Glasgow with the wife and 2kids ( 3yo and a 3month).
I've been looking at hotels but all the Travellodges and Premiers are booked and the other hotels Ive been looking at their parking is a first come first serve .I don't know the area but Im not too keen on parking my bus with westy trailer attached on the street overnight on a Saturday.
Can anyone recommend a hotel reasonably close to the port with decent secure parking ?( preferably without height restriction as Ill have roof bars on for my board )
Thanks in advance
Chris

Riverside caravan park in Plymouth. Phone and chat to the peeps.
They have an area where you can park after hours and it is secure if you arrive late that is.
Stay there when visiting our son , he is at uni there.

Not expensive and about 10 min drive from the docks just outside town.

Thanks for the reply ,
Wasn't wanting to have to unpack van and setup at 9-10pm at night - Just booked the Premier Inn in Exeter as its on the way home and only an hour away so all good :)

Good call. Its a long enough crossing to be rested after, and once you're awake and alert enough to drive off you may as well drive on up to Exeter, it also puts you right on the M5 for the rest of the journey home the following day.
