I have my steering column in bits and at the bottom there is a brass connection that is sort of pop-riveted to the inside of the outer column. This has snapped off so you can't connect the wire to it and I'd like to repair it so I can wire up the horn the way it left the factory. Has anyone fixed this before, what did you use?

Cool, thanks!

That actually looks a little shorter than I need but it will do. I wonder how I can fix it on, the original is a kind of round hollow rivet.

yes go with a pop rivet, a self tapper will stick out to much.
