Anyone seen one of these before?

When I bought my van a few years ago it had a fibreglass 'shade' over the windscreen (a bit like a Splitty) - I didn't like it so I took it off and sold it, but I've never seen another and wondered if it would have been an original Devon accessory?
Take a look:

And here it is being held by the guy I sold it to (with his freshly imported Aussie bus):

Can anyone shed any light on it for me?

Its not the roof part of a baysplits conversion is it?
(baysplits made fibreglass fronts for bay windows to make them look like splittys)

You may be right there Loxy, funny thing is I've just seen one removed from a late bay the guy was led to believe the front was sound, got a nasty suprise when the fibreglass split front came off.....needless to say the cheap resto he thought hed got just got a lot more expensive....

I'm pretty sure it was only ever supposed to be a sunshade - there's no extra stiffening or anything...

It was rivetted to the roof with a LARGE rivet either side (I've yet to fill the holes )
