i straight switched my 71 discs calipers and spindles for a late setup for cheaper pads easier to find parts etc.

I would love to change the rear to discs also and am keeping a close eye on Jims homebrew conversion thread.

Rear disks aren't really needed IMHO.

im planning on a big engine possibly a 2100 or a 2276, wouldnt discs all round be a safer option?

NOPE my friend runs a 3.2 porsche flat 6 with early 911 frt brakes (as good as a CSP kit) and stock rear late brakes with no probs and Ive been in too :D

IMHO I think the CSP 14" ki is a bit of a rip off. I have it on my bay and if used with a servo could be 'great' but at present they (CSP) don't really know what master cyllinder to use with it. I used a standard late disk brake one and they are just 'good' but considering they cost nearly £700 I was expecting more really. I have a mate who also has them on his split and he says the same.

I had the 15" kit on my split and they were better for sure and cheaper too!

Just my opinion from someone who has them.

Good luck.

been thinking about csp's too, also contemplating narrow beam,so plan is to talk to people in the know at dubfreeze as to the best way to go.dont want to fork out for bay beam discs only to find they wont fit split beam! anyway enough babbling! am interested, keep me posted.

Righto, looks like there's a few of you out there.

I'll take a look into it and see what may be on offer.
