Apple MacPro 8 Core 2 x 2.8GHz Intel Xeon quad-core processors – £300
Solid, expandable and very capable Apple MacPro desktop computer. Great for graphic design, photography or video work, with plenty of potential upgrade options depending upon your requirements.
Early 2008 (3,1) Model, 8 Core 2 x 2.8GHz Intel Xeon quad-core processors. Fitted with 11GB Ram (expandable to 64GB) and a Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT 512MB graphics card with dual DVi output.
Connectivity-wise it is equipped with dual Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, FireWire 400 and 800, DVD/CD drive plus optical in and outputs.
It has a range of preinstalled Apple software such as iTunes, iBooks, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, Garage Band, iWeb, Keynote, Pages, Numbers, Messages etc. etc.
Currently, it is kitted out 3 internal HDD’s, although you can install a further 3 if you wanted for a total of six. All three fitted drives have been wiped clean and freshly set up as follows. A 320GB start-up disk with a clean install of OSX 10.10.5 (Yosemite) with an addition 1TB of storage provided via two additional 500GB drives. These could be used as a separate 500GB work drive and a dedicated 500GB time machine back up drive, or configured as RAID 0 or RAID 1 drive depending upon what you wanted to do?
Cosmetically there are a couple of minor marks on the case, but otherwise, it is in good condition. Comes complete with original power cable, but NO keyboard, mouse or monitor included with the sale. Can be seen working. Unfortunately, I don’t have the original box, so collection only.
