Having just bought an awning for our xover westy (front hinged roof) what options do we have for connecting it to the van. We ve got a magnetic strip at the moment which was great until we realised it won't fit under the front of the roof rack. Any suggestions?
Thanks

We use 3 x strips of figure of 8 to connect our awning to the bus

Thanks for replies. How bulky are the pole and clamps. Not sure they'd fit around the roof rack. Not so keen on fig 8 track as it seems to come off too easy.

It' s a pain to sew by hand - but doable, but this is what I use and it has never come adrift

Yep, used it on two different khyam awnings and have attached to a canopy as well. Very strong, has never come adrift. If you can find someone with an industrial sewing machine then that would produce the best result, but as I said, can be sewn by hand ... needs time, patience and a decent awl with waxed thread.
