Last few times whilst sleeping in our camper we have taken a memory foam topper for our bed and a duvet plus pillows
Had a lovely nights sleep so warm n comfortable
The duvet did take up a lot of room but this isa habit from bell tent camping before we purchased our camper van
Maybe several blankets would b better

What do u chaps take camping with u ?

We sleep on a duvet and have another on top of us. Isn't bad when smashed but isn't great when sober. Looking at futon mattress's at the mo to improve the cushioning but bit worried how much space it's gonna take up when folded away as like to keep everything above the engine apart from the cool box.

Matress topper, duvet and pillows. All folds relatively flat on the back cushion, so no issues with storage.

Own a Bay?......Feel the love!

I just make the rnr bed and get in a sleeping bag..........wish i had the room for memory foam toppers and such like

I always sleep well, then again mostly ive had a drink or two ;)

Same as justin above make the bed and climb in the sleeping bag don`t have the space for anything else have 2 kids say no more!! ;)
and don`t let the wife know you all take mattress toppers
cheers shaun

Anything that's warm and comfy is going to take up a lot of room, but you could buy a mountain sleeping bag...warm and lightweight.

We have a spare mattress topper which we didn't like on the bed, so the camper will get it.

I use a double bed cover/quilt and then duvet on top - it's fine but not the most comfy it could be and I saw memory foam toppers half price in dunelm but my wife says "what's the point of the bed being more comfortable in the camper? then you won't look forward to coming back home to a comfy bed?" - logic.....

I find the original westy bed sooo comfortable, I sleep better on it in the van then I do my own bed at home! me and the missus bought a spare of square ended opposite zipped sleeping bags and zip them together and unzip the side half way down.. hope that makes sense.. then just a couple of home made feather cushions as pillows

We have double duvet, fitted sheet and two plump pillows that live behind the rear seat during the day in one of these:

Does the job, folds down to a sliver of a thing when bedding in use and looks quite cute tucked away back there! :D

Agree with ^^this^^

What thickness are we talking for your memory foam?
1 inch or 2?

Im guessing 2 will be comfier but will it roll small enough?

We use one inch foam, our r n r bed foam is good enough but the topper makes it super nice
We are still getting to grips with packing it all in but we have just purchased a roof rack and a steemer trunk to store blankets etc in so next camping trip we will see how we get on
- which will b white noise in two weeks
