how are these fixed need to take them off cant see any fixings

I take it you are reffering to the chassis pans, they are welded on.

outer pans welded and middle should be bolted on. If your unlucky someone wil have welded this on too

My inner and outer belly pans are welded on - pretty sure it was done at the factory as my bus hasnt been touched underneath since.

My outers don't exist.. the middle appears to be welded, can't see any bolt holes

All the belly pans were welded on my 71 and it was like that from new.

cheers chaps i will just have to lie on me back and clean them off. looks like there the same as the van under all crap.

Make sure you give em a good poke, I got lucky with mine and managed to take a peep underneath em..
