Hi, i am looking for a suitable heating system for my early bay, what are we all running? And what will be best??

All depends if you mean a stand alone system or making the one from the engine as good as it can be.

I went for a petrol Webasto as it can work independently when the engine is off or when driving as an additional heat source to the standard engine one.
As it is petrol driven, it just plumbs into the fuel line.

Details in my build thread.

Cheers.

Get yours working as well as it can, get rid of as many drafts as you can, pay particular attention to the pedals and door seals, the other place they can leak like a seive is from the front flaps where the foam seals deteriorate and let drafts in, this way you can maximise what heat you have. For the winter, I put up a polythene bulkhead to separate the cab area from the rest of the van to keep the warm air in the cab and this made a huge difference. I have a propex heater as well but it is still in the garage and waiting to be fitted (job 684) and is on the to do list  . One thing that I found very very very good was a decent body warmer with electrical panels in the back, powered by a rechargeable battery and that was heaven, a bit like a modern car with heated seats, but you get to wear it :p :p :p

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Always more than one way to skin a cat

I have to say, I saw Ozzies polythene bulkhead partition and it is fantastic in its simplicity. I plan on working this in to my bus next winter!

Stock system for driving and then a propex for being parked up gives you the best of both worlds,

Polythene bulk head sounds like a great idea.

We are running a stock heating system on the move, propex heater when we are camping (but not on a hookup) and a small electric plinth heater (2Kw) built into the base of our buddy seat for when we are camping (with a hook up).

If you're parked (or have a very long extension lead!!)

A de'longhi 500watt Bambino

I got tired of spending money on trick things last year and this has been FAB
