Blanking off exhaust risers on Type 4 engine

The hoses and fan were removed from our Aussie van before we purchased it so the exhaust risers were chucking hot air back into the engine bay

I've had them plugged with a beer can cut in half but never got around to looking for a proprietary solution. Is there anything out there as I'm sure mine is not the only example of this approach?

i have mine blocked off as i don't run the snail fan, i just used that aluminium tape that plumbers use, works fine, the only other thing i can suggest is to remove the exchanger and weld a plate on top.
