Well got back tonight from a weekend away fishing in the bus, unfortunately the return trip was on a recovery truck :(

Clutch cable went, it started to go on the way there but managed a bodge job to get us there and it gave up on the way back home in kings lynn. Spent nearly 3 hours under it trying to orchestrate a fix to get us home but I didn't have the right bits. If I'd given up sooner we could have made it back a couple hours earlier.

This is after having to replace both rear brake cylinders last week and a CV boot. Hope thats the end of the problems for this season, would quite happily of scrapped it at certain points this afternoon

Oh and I dropped my phone in the river :( Was a cursed weekend.................

Could have driven it home whithout the clutch (especially if later when traffic quiet).
Its a good reminder to us to carry spare cables at least! :(

(its home safe now.....thats the main thing) :D

Always carry a spare clutch cable and cable conduit.

And before we all get carried away saying we do, just make sure you can remove the pin that hold the cable to the peddle. Over looked at services and a pain to free at the roadside. I've had to use a blow torch twice to free them off on 2 buses.

Sent from my iLife4 suite of applications.

Just drive without ;-) quite satisfying when you get it right...
 I imagine it makes you cringe when you get it wrong though......

Its quite ok and smooth actually....especially if you are very used to your van....you hardly need the clutch :D (once you have got her rolling :D )

Did you catch?
A few but not a lot  Spent a lot of the weekend drinking in the end after various mishaps and rain showers!

Still a surprisingly relaxing (albeit expensive) weekend all things considered
