Although I'm quite fascinated by electronics and electrics, my technical knowledge is quite limited. I got all the goodies (dizzy, coil, TCI unit, harness) to fit a donor-2.1 wasserboxer electronic ignition on the Bay. I've done this before on the my buggy, but a friend helped me, and I have forgotten all the detail and it was more than 5 years ago. I need to know the purpose of each wire going into the TCI unit, can anyone please help? They are numbered as follows on the plug:
1 - Thick green
2 - Thick brown
3 - Brown/white
4 - Black
5 - Red/black
6 - Green/white
7 - White (I think this is the pickup wire for the tach meter?)
Another problem I have is that the little harness that is supposed to go from the dizzy to the TCI unit, has different colours! Where above should they go??

2 - Brown/white
3 - Green/grey
We all know the result of assumption, so I want to get the correct techical information before the Bay turns into a flaming fireball
