Sounds to me like the piston in the caliper is not returning quick enough on the right see if the wheel is hotter on that side than the left after a spin. :)

Very often it's a collapsed flexi not allowing fluid through and acting as a one-way valve. I've lost count of the number of these I've found especially with old and/or imported vehicles. Change them both and check your pistons are free in the calipers and your problem will be solved.

have you checked to see if you are losing brake fluid , could be a seal leaking and when you break you are losing fluid, also have brakes been worked on recently? are you drums all round, could need adjusting?

Steve, i had that on my bus just after getting back on the road, pulling to the left. Had the right hand front drum off and the rubber seal around the piston in the wheel cylinder had perished causing fluid to drip on the shoes. New wheel cylinder, cleaned shoes and drum job done :D

It's a 71 so discs. My money is on old flexis - they need changing.

Sorry all, had a dumb moment. 71 buses do have disc don't they

I knew that........ ;)

Had this problem with my '71, could feel the right side front brake cooking after a run, so i knew the piston wasn't returning, after a check and realising the flexi hose was really new looking, I suspected the caliper.

Took it off and took the pistons out, cleaned it up, and fitted new seals, now i dont get a problem!
