Strikes me we need a breakdown essentials list of spares you should keep in your bus.
Those not in the know should learn how to fit these parts to save those embarrassing breakdown calls.

Spares not essential
Full set of wheel bearings

Wiring diagram, for those times when a wire pops off its terminal

Good spanner and socket set, try Halfords ratchet range, they have a lifetime guarantee

Torch
Battery jumper/jump leads
Wheel brace/breaker bar and sockets
Big adjustable spanner
Wheel chocks

Points and condensor (unless running electronic ignition)

I would take bolded part of, as if you burn your compufire etc. you can throw in points and condensor.

Not essentials:

* Hand cleaning detergent
* (oil) rags
* oil
* Towing rope
* normal iron wire is almost as versatile as duct tape!

Mobile phone

Dont forget to add to the list the following items...

fags
spare lighter
weed (only for medicinal purposes you understand)
and the misses (got to have someone to roll a fag for you with your hands all covered in oil :wink: )
