ive currently got a CB breather , but ive recently been given one of the cylinder/pipe type breathers, so im going to swap the CB out for a standard chrome filler and use the new breather

whats the best way to vent it, how many outlets do i need to use, any preference to venting to carbs or valve covers, or do i do both???

engine is a 1914 with twin 40s, CB breatjer currently has one out let going to 1 valve cover (do both need doing?????) another vented to atmosphere

when i had one on my bug, i had one at each cilinder head, and one from the oil filler, I'm not sure where else would need venting.

Little confused here...

you wont be venting to the valve covers rather venting the valve covers to atmosphere or into the carbs....

personally I would rather vent to atmosphere, if going to the ar filter then you will in effect be drawing on the air / vapour the idea with these is really to equalise the pressure on the engine as it is a big pump you just want to make it easier to function.

so both rocker covers, crank case, 1 spare hmmmm maybe for relief valves and the vent to atmos or carb.

I would have 1 from each rocker cover and maybe 1 from the crankcase itself. You would need to have removed the standard fuel pump, fiited an electric 1 like a facet and bolted a block off in it's place which has a boss for a breather attachment. If it was a 2276cc screamer then you might need something more ample
