I’ll be there too, I’ve just checked with she who must be obeyed and I have the ticket that she got me for my birthday, she has also granted me a weekend pass too!

BIG BVF QUIZ

Here we go guys, the format for the big BVF quiz.

Each club has a team of four super intelligent beings, one of which will be the Captain responsible for getting you up and on stage in time, being the main cheerleader, buying the drinks, and also competing in two of the rounds!

We have four categories of questions Volkswagen, sport, music, general knowledge.

There will only be 5 questions in each category so choose your representatives carefully to gain the most points and, for the person you really think is a specialist, you can play your joker card to double your points in that round.

The quiz is on Saturday and Sunday and hosted by our show compare Eddie Temple Morris with a little help from the Volksfest crew.

We will make a draw on Friday evening live on stage (approx.7pm) by the team captains to decide the running order as each team will do all the four sections in sequence during their time slot.
They will pick an envelope concealing the questions, it will also be numbered which decides the running order.
So the team with envelope Number 1 drawn out on Friday will arrive on stage first on Saturday to start the fun.

The quiz will run over Saturday and Sunday. We will be using the Stage, Main Bar and the festival Bar as the venues to host the quiz (with the Gas station as the backup) each team will be briefed well in advance where and when they need to be there!!

We expect the competition to be fierce and very close, with such a big prize at stake.

It will end with the battle of the Captains in the fifth and final tiebreaking round. All of them will go head to head on the stage on Sunday afternoon and one of them to sail home gloriously with all the booty!!

Excited? Nervous? You should be … this is the big BVF quiz.

Thanks to all that came, I do apologise for the slight lack of space but that didn't impinge on a great weekend.

I went as a day visitor on the Sunday, the early bay line up looked good.
But on a negative note the show seemed very quiet with a lack of show cars and traders compared to previous years.
We left the show quite dissapointed as this is one of the shows we used to look forward to every year

Your concerns are noted.
This is one of the things that we're trying to sort out as a lot of the club display plots were just used as camping pitches. These clubs won't be invited next year as the list of clubs applying for a display plot is bigger than the amount available.
As for traders, we have sent invitations to all the usual suspects, but a lot of the large names aren't attending shows any more.
