I am in the process of rebuilding my front suspension and am unsure whether to use the normal method to tighten the nuts and bolts up. I have got a torque wrench, but am of the old school, that I have never used one before, due to lack of confoidence that it is "tight" enough.

What are peoples thoughts on tighten it up by hand or torque to the correct figures. :?: :?: :?:

Err - which nuts and bolts?

On suspension and engine parts I would use a torque wrench every time - but only if it's a good one. The Toolstation/Screwfix wrenches are too crude to use on critical parts like caliper bolts. I use Britool wrenches.

It is very important that the threads are clean and new washers are used, otherwise the correct torque won't put the right tension on the bolt or screw.
