I'm thinking about buying one of these...

What modifications are required to the valence and bumper for a 71 bay?

I was told there would be some cutting envolved?

dont know about cutting im sure the fit straiht on, but i wouldnt bother with the exhaust they will rust in no time, spend a few more pennies and go stainless. 8)

Agreed, my EMPI quietpack started to rust in less that 24 hrs, bugpack aren't any better.

i guess there's no heat proof paint that would stop the rot? its just im looking at one thats less than £50 including the manifold(?). its just a cheap option untill i get on the road then ill go to Powerflow and get a stainless system fabricated.

Heatproof paints are out there, so it should keep it presentable whilst your waiting for your custom exhaust... speak to your local paint suppliers and best to clean it thoroughly before hand.

I'll probably wait now as im hoping to get an engine sorted and possibly a bigger bored system to match it, probably 1½", I'm gonna bite the bullit and get the engine from CBperformance i might get their stainless system which works out at about £350, not much more than turbothomas. at least when its done i wont need to worry about it for a good few years.

Depends if you go 4 a fully merged system. They wont fit without alot of modification to the support bar and even then the exhaust will need the flange cutting, a little rework and welding back on.
I know as ive been there :D
