Can anyone give advice on buying a good starter motor. They seem to vary in Price from £79 to over £200
Any help appreciated :?

I've never paid more than £10 for a secondhand one :lol:
:oops:

Edit: that's no longer true after I had to buy a semi automatic one for my gearbox conversion.

If I were you, I'd try rebuilding your current one - bits are available from http://www.volksgoods.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If not, I'm sure their £60 ones would be fine. The customer service is excellent should you need to return it :)

Where did you buy for that price !

Secondhand from here, VZi and VW shows. :)

To be fair, for £60 the new one from Volksgoods might be worth a punt.

Try Peter Good...top bloke

Yep! Top bloke and top products. Had one of his starters on my bus now for about 7 years, and one of his alternators for a couple of years. No problems at all.
