HOW MANY AMPS .???Just make sure you use decent thick jump leads and not the cheap thin "glow in the dark" ones. Remember the starter will draw 300 plus amps on initial engagment.
We had a sparks on site one time donkeys years ago when I was still subby roofing for a large local roofing company and we were using nine inch grinders for cutting various things like tiles etc. Our grinder packed up one time and the tool peeps sent us out a 240 12” grinder as a temporary replacement while they sorted out our grinder. This 12” grinder just about got going on the mains ok but it would kill the 3K genny trying to start the grinder just from the initial kick. He checked it out and that was something ridiculous like you’re saying.Well it can do just for a second or so, we used to test starter amp draw with a clip around the lead ammeter and that was a typical read . Drops to 100 or so once turning.
