Just back from a brisk camping weekend and sadly my last stretchy roof bungee (for my 1971 Westfalia) has snapped, leaving me with three solid non-stretchy/flexible purchases from Justkampers. Can anyone recommend anywhere to buy some that will actually stretch to fit the roof properly? :?

The best ones I have bought were at a vw show on more than one occasion and the last ones I got at Berkeley. The ones at B and Q and such places were all a bit gash. To be honest , you just don`t see the good ones about very often.

I've not found any good ones for years, and after having had some fail now try to avoid using them at.
Much prefer fabric luggage straps but appreciate they may not always be suitable.

Cargo nets are great you don't need as many bungees ;)

Army surplus stores have great army bungees , No point with pound shop ones false economy = false eye ;)

bungees are not very good really in the long run especially if they get wet as they have a tendency to go all limp..oooeeerrr

i got a cargo net from halfrauds and its great...so great in fact that my bro has nicked it and i`ll never see it again....foooker

Check out a boot net for a pug 207 hatch back 2006

My wife's got one in our car and it would be perfect for the camper roof rack.

Worth a look at your local dealer.
