have you got these on your bus?
if so what conversion is it?

It looks a bit like the tow bar parts on my '72 Devon - I'll get under the bus tomorrow (work permitting) and take a look!

;)

did you get round to having a look :?:

Right, here we go... These are pictures of the underside of the tow bar and where it joins to the bodywork/bumper mounts. I'm not sure if its the same (I have my doubts!) but it might help you - unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'm removing the towbar yet...

P.S. Excuse the rust!!!!

mm not the same but thanxs very much for having a look.

oh dont worry about the rust. i thought that was just ratty style underside

Of course they're different. A 72 has the new engine compartment with the non-removable rear valance, so therefor the tow bar, and rear bumper mounts are different from the older ones. Allthough I've seen some different styles of the older mount, they don't just differ from towbar non-towbar but also between different towbar styles. I'm not quite shure if this could be a OYO 68 example though, but if it's a hard to find piece I would look to see if the 69-71 type fits in. To me, judging by the pics, it seems like it'd do.

not to worry ive created one with my bare hands.oh and a big hammer a vice, grinder and a welder.

im quite happy with the result aswell :D

Before I start nice bit of welding!
The piece you you have just made is from a early westy towbar. I have one the same on my. I bought the whole thing off volkshaven. It has a round section at fits between the side pieces. I hope this helps.
