Hi everyone, I’ve recently bought a type 4 engine with a single mount carb. It has a pipe coming off the carb/ manifold and I have no idea where it should be routed to, at the moment it just has a bolt stuffed in the end! Any help would much appreciated. :|

This could be either the vacuum for the distributor or the engine breather pipe which should come from the oil filler.

That looks a bit like a brake servo vacuum take off pipe. That would go to the brake servo usually attached to the master brake cylinder.

Yes, for the brake servo. If your Bus doesn’t have the servo, keep the pipe blocked.
