Hello all,

My 1970 Westy is in and i'm starting to get it lowered :p

I will go for T2d/Kieft & Klok Ball Joints flipped spindels and adjusters in the beam. I love the look of a little 8) tuck so i'm thinking off narrowing my beam 2 or 2,5inch (will drive porsche Gasburner 5,5J with 175/60 or 65 /15 and 944 brakes
and thinking 2 inch narrow is nice to look at and to drive :!: ).
The back will get lowered with horseshoes and 195/65/15 (also on 944 brakes) and perhaps one spline if it's not low enough... ;)

When is it necessary to give the beam some caster in the lower tube?

Thanks in advance

Greetings from holland,
Mycha

Ps. will open a new topic when the westy is getting in the garage

Its when you have a fairly nose down stance, mine is slightly nose down and to be honest I don't have any problems with the steering feeling too sharp/quick/twitchy etc, same on my beetle.
