mabee would work,in the sumer the best bet is leave them in the sun,i would say the water would evaporate quite quickly from behind the rubers,i use waterbased spray on these to get them in but i dont soak the rubbers,i have done them dry in the past(just need abit more welly.ive got laminated in mine which is very easy to brake when slaping them in,its my job so not braging, but i put all my glass in in about an hour, with new seals(not deluxe)

Blimey

Probably quicker to drive to you in Lincoln from anywhere in the country and let you do it then try to do it yourself if that's the case :D

dont forget that if you are a member of the type 2 owners club you get 10% discount at status VW (though VAT needs to go on all his web prices)

I got my kit from them: http://www.veteranen-service.de/
they offer top notch quality in every aspect.
before fitment I mounted the seals to the glass complete with trim and soaked the rubber with vaseline over two nights. to fit them to the car then was pure sex, they just snugged in....
I highly recommend vaseline for this task!

its a shame their catalogue isnt in PDF format, surely it would make more sense and get more orders than having to pay 15 euro for one. im to tight i guess :p
