chassis mods notching etc

i am get to the stage were i will be flipping and spraying the underneath of my van. as i would like to cover all bases before spraying it i would like to know about notching plates, chassis etc. this would obviously give me the option later down the line to slam the van without worry.

has anyone got any pics of chassis work that they have had so i can shamelssly pirate your ideas .
