Chassis Number location

Some CKD buses didn't have Chassis plates but stickers in the door openings, and CKD buses never had M Code plates.

What does CKD mean?

As Mike says, Completely Knocked Down. They were transported in kit form to be reassembled locally to avoid sales and import tax.
