Cleaning and repairing Westy Canvas Pop Top

Has anyone repaired or cleaned their Westy canvas?

Mine has a 2" split around one corner which I guess could have patch sewed over. However, the wife wants a new and clean one on. I'm loath to change it as it the original one supplied with the bus, it's just grubby in places.

Anyone cleaned one and managed to get it looking new.....ish?

You need to buy awning cleaner make sure it says for canvas on it. If you clean with soap or dish liquid its suposed to make the canvas non water proof.

Have cleaned mine but it still looks a bit grubby but thats ok gives the van character.
