I was just about to order some more shampoo and polish but thought I'd see what other people are using. Normally I use autoglym products but figured I may be missing some better and/or cheaper

So what do you use?

Here you go fill your boots!

Just revived my roof after taking off my roof rack, started off with farecla g3 compound with the mop, then went over with the g6 compound, and polished it up with some 3m hand glaze, and I intend to keep polished up with some autoglym super resin polish :D

I use Greased Lightning Showroom shine, its a waterless wash you just spray on and wipe off, I haven't used water on the van for about 3 years...I also use their window, wheel & upholstery cleaner too, I can highly recommended it :)

Would seem a bit weird without water  How does it cope with road grime and oil? I have a slight oil leak which means I end up with a light covering on the back thats quite stubborn (really need to fix it!)

I've got a slight leak and get a slight mist up the back too......ooher :-/ it polishes aswell as cleans so you can just wipe the oil off with a dry rag...

Meguiers for me as well. Find it excellent.

Detailing world is just mental!! Loads of good advice and tips, but crazy all the same!!! I enjoy reading about someone wet and dry sanding the paintwork on a Ferrari/Lambo/Bugatti etc and polishing out the swirl marks. Would never feel confident about it myself lol!!!!

I always think that when it rains as long as the rain 'beads' you are not going wrong. :D

What do you reckon on the hand glaze, read mixed reviews on it,good at removing swirls apparently,do you polish it it wet,or apply it let it dry then buff off?

For polish I use Harly Wax gives a nice wet look and no residue.Autoglym is ok if you want a bit of cut to revive paint, but I find the powder residue too annoying.

It's a great site and some very good end user tests results. Very easy to get carried away and spend a small fortune on all sorts of goodies (that you may or may not really need - bit like toys for the westy  ). Discount codes around as well, but I must admit I've learnt quite a lot from this site or what not to buy and what good stuff this is from small uk based manufacturers and dealers, particularly the gtechniq stuff. Just take a look at Beaver .... (what a brand name!) just about to try a sample of their metal polish for the vintage speed exhaust as not much else touches it
