It's a matter of some hilarity to those who know me well but the reason I cannot get to the North Weald show tomorrow is that I am off to Wales to play trains... working as a fireman on the Corris Railway to be precise.

My good friend Araon actully managed to catch me on a previous trip and can vouch for the excellence of the ride he had in the cab of the steam engine.

What I need is for earlybayers to help me rig a vote...

Our claim to fame is that we have had a brand new steam engine built for us...

built a great carriage shed ourselves...

built a carriage from scratch, have three more on the way and they are painted in the most wonderful lined livery...

A further new steam engine is on the way...

We'll never win the vote but being higher up the list would be great.

In return any earlybayer in the area just needs to contact me and I'd almost certainly be able to arrange a cab ride for you in the loco!

might have to take you up on the cab ride some time, we end up just outside Brecon quite regularly to visit the 'inlaws' since its such a treck its always goot to make a weekend of it.
