My bay is a 1970 US spec delux, would it have a late or early release bearing?

I haven't a clue!

Need to know if it'll fit with a KEP stage 1 clutch.

:?: :)

It could have either, but that one's an early type.

Thanks, do I need to remove the ring from the clutch to make it work then?

Cheers,
Ollie

Do you need to fit a tube for the later release bearing as well?
See part 6 on this diagram:

Vaguely remember theere being some sort of early to late conversion kit available, someone with more knowledge than me may be able to confirm/deny.

Not gonna convert it.

I only asked because the clips looks like the later ones.

You've got the early bearing. The later one's came in 1971 when they started fitting the guide tube to bus boxes.

Cheers guys, nearly sorted, just got to replace the flywheel gland nut I snapped today!
