dear all

thinking of getting some coloured HT leads for my van, are the coloured HT leads any good ??

I don't want to pay the earth can anyone recommend any or tell me ones to stay away from?

thanks in advance

If you're dressing up your engine bay then go for it, there are plenty of firms making coloured leads in every shade you can think of.

More important is to remember that you should buy the best you can afford - they'll reward you with years of reliable service!! - Also, make sure they have the rubber end caps to seal off your tinware, the cheaper kits have poor quality seals which will warp and fail in no time at all.

Might also want to bear in mind that black goes with everything!!

;)

With regard to engine stuff, all the shiny chi-chi coloured stuff tends to be tat. Which is fine if you've got a trailer queen show car, but if you want to drive it then a)no one really is going to spend hours debating your lack of colour coded ht leads b) you want to choose engine components based on quality and performance not aesthetics.

Nice set of black Beru leads will work fine (and stay nice and shiny if you replace them as part of your yearly service!)
