Went a couple of years ago, you wont be disapointed.

Make sure you leave plenty of time to do both museums. Are you staying in Wolfsburg or Hannover? Apart from that make sure youve got plenty of spare cards for the camera and plenty of batteries.

always wanted to go!!! So glad I done that garden decking for her now :msn4:

havn't got a clue what to expect or what to do. I believe there is 2 VW museums near each other?

We stayed in Hannover when we went. The train to wolfsburg isnt that cheap but runs with complete german efficiancy. You cant miss the main VW factory when you walk out the station and the classic museum is about another 15 down the road on the same side of the road. I would go straight to the oldtimer place first as it is normally pretty quite and you get the place to yourself. Then go and spend the rest of the day looking around the VW factory etc. You can get lunch etc inside.
Get the train from the airport to hannover (its cheap) and that way you will get your bearings in town as the railway station faces everything as you come out. (more historic places to your left, shopping straight ahead and business district, hannover vw factory and lots of hotels etc to your right.)

Thanks Clyde.Its a suprise which is nice but its not left me with anytime to prepare what I want to do.
So its in 3 parts then???...VW factory,oldtimer place & autostadt?? I want to go to where all the VW's are like 1950's bugs & the 1,000000 the Samba,SP2 etc

I went to Wolfsburg autostadt last year, ill try and find my thread.

There is a vw museum about 5 minutes from the autostadt which is pretty cool. The autostadt itself is totally awesome and the factory tour is also included in this.

Im not too sure about hanover as haven't been myself

All the old aircooled stuff is at the oldtimer place down the road. The Main vw autostadt/factory is a few beetles and buses but also loads of other makes as well. (well worth a visit). The Autostadt also has audi, skoda, lambo, seat, displays which are all worth seeing.

The lambo display is possibly the strangest thing I have ever seen! :shock:
