Now then,

I know Faux on here use to supply the kits but is having a problem with parts at the moment.

I have also seen some kits by VW Evolution but they don't appear to be the same as Faux's.

Anybody have any experience of the VW Evolution kits or can recommend another place I could find one of these elusive bits of kit?

Not in a major rush but would like to get my hands on a kit to give me a bit of extract sleeping space for the little sprog.

Thanks in advance,
Luke

I have a VW Evolution one, in fact the photo on their website shows it in my bus minus a canvas. Its not the same as an original one, and I have never actually got it to work properly. You are welcome to take a look if you want. [Edit - But probably not seeing you are in Lincoln!]

If you find anywhere selling the bits Faux used to then please let me know.

Hi,
I too have the VW Evolution one.
It's well made...well the brackets are...the rest is 2 sheets of thick ply!
It doesn't work like the original though. The main big board does, but the head board piece that flips down on the original and fastens under the main board is totally different in that rests on the same side supports of the main board. So you have to drop it in from above. Makes it a total pain if you had 2 kids up there.
As I only have the one child I started without the head board piece at all as it was big enough without. Now she has been on the miracle grow I cut the head board into 2 and used one piece hinged so that it flaps over and rests on the top of the main board when not in use. When in use you still have a small hole to get up and down...really didn't like the idea of shutting her in up there!
It now works well for us...
The only other thing...the foam wouldn't fit on the bed with the roof down on mine...so it gets put in a purpose made sleeve and stuffed in the gap where the sunroof would retract to. Just makes it a little more complicated!
I can take pics if this doesn't make sense!
Cheers
Al
