Anyone running CCs can you provide some details of your brake/wheel setup? are you running porsche discs up front are they hard to fit? or bay drums/discs with spacers?

Are all cookie cutters 7J? i'm asking as ive just got a really good set cheaply, i was thinking running the porsche pattern drums from C&C on the back but wasnt sure whether to go with standard bay discs and spacers or try to source a porsche disc setup from the breakers yard and modify this? what size bolts for porsche wheels as well?

the tyres that came on them are 215/65/15 they are WAAAAAY to fat, what would be the best profile for a mildy lowered bus?

thanks in advance

Aah, Johnny - welcome to the wonderful world of Cookie Cutter alloys (much underated IMHO!)!

If you've bought 7J rims then you might struggle to fit them (front and rear) - 6J is the best option but much harder to find a nice set and much more expensive too!

Kombiporsche is your man for CC's - his setup is just right... 6J, 20mm homemade adaptors, stock brakes (well, they were last time I heard from him), tyres are 195/50/15 front and 195/65/15 rear...

some people use a pair of 7's and a pair of 6's. if you run 165 50 15's on the front and 175 55 15 on the rear or 185 65 15 with 25mm adapters id say that they will go on 7's all round. it depends how low you go. or hunt some 6's out. i paid £26 for a set of four on ebay and bought a spare 6 for a tenner so cheaps sets are out there. just watch out for the crap offset wheels. ie. et23 ans they wont fit as the offset would be -2 by the time the adapter was on. et 52.3 is the way to go

I know i can buy Porsche PCD drums for the rear so they should squeeze on the back ok, but the front? without adapters is there any way to fit 7s? can the 5x112 front discs be safely drilled to fit porsche wheels? thus no need for adapters. Ill be probably going down the creative narrowed beam anyway so saving 80mm there. Do you think it would cause any problems?

would those tyre sizes be safe on such a wide rim?

I know that 7's can go on the back - but it'll be tight! If you can get them on the front you'll need arms like Arnie to turn the wheel, better to source a pair of 6's for the front!

i was mistaken the drums are bug only, the only option is adapters or the CE hub kit at £550+

guess it was a mistake buying, there going on ebay now http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280223196136
