Hi,

I know very little about engines but have a feeling based on small research that I have a knackered crankcase on my 1969 bay, is this going to have to be a full engine rebuild with new case?

Did someone use a screwdriver and hammer to separate the cases previously? I hope not.

To be honest, in that area of the case, if it is not pi$$ing oil it is probably OK.

Unfortunately it is dripping oil. Has anyone tried this oil sealant?
Are you sure it isn't coming from the flywheel oil seal? Unless it is dripping a lot it is livable. I think most buses are 'moist' in that area anyway!

Most oil leaks will end up dripping off there at the end point. If its just 'wet at that point' then fair enough, its a problem. If its 'wet from above' less so.
Clean it all off and trace the leak start point Id say
