Just flicked through the Bentley manual and I can't find reference to whether it's clockwise or counterclockwise 🤔

thanks every one as allways quick help before brain explodes with stress

It’s anti-clockwise to undo. To get seal out carefully pop it out with a screwdriver and when fitting a new 1 lightly lubricate it with engine oil or wd40. You can buy a flywheel seal press which is the ideal way of fitting it.
