Im pretty sure this has been done to death but does anyone have any pics of a system fitted to a low pre 71 bay or have any idea if they'll work with low bays? I wanted to stay with VS but being they only go to 38mm I'm stuck with other alternatives at the mo...

Ta Scott :)

just fitted one to my 69 lowish van.
back box is hitting the floor on bumpy roads.
that might be due to soft dampers.
I can send you pics if you want

Thanks bud, I think the consensus is that I'd need a similar Turbo Thomas one to get the slightly better clearance...

Thanks tho :)

had a turbo Thomas on my splitty.
rusted out within a year. it was meant to be stainless steel.
Probably was, it'll be 304 stainless which isn't suitable for a corrosive environment (I.e. salted roads).. 316 stainless is significantly more expensive and isn't usually required for exhausts. Although it will see salt water for some period of its life, its minimal and shouldn't corrode through in 1 year! Maybe 10-15 on a daily but even unlikely at that I would think.
